Community Happenings Announcement Board


The Highland Commerce Guild is sponsoring a juired competition to produce an outdoor mural for the north-facing wall of The Wine Market at 1200 Bardstown Road on the corner of Lucia Ave. Artists are encouraged to submit a design celebrating life in The Highlands that they will then transfer to the wall. The winner will receive a $1,000 prize and all paint and materials will be provied. But the deadline is approaching... Saturday, August 13th. Entry form with details may be retrieved from www.TheHighlandsOfLouisville.com.  The winning design and artist will be announced at a reception on Aug. 25, 6:30pm at the Highlands Art Studios, 1220 Bardstown Rd.  The HCG believes this project will further enhance the unique personality of The Highlands, bring a source of pride to our neighborhoods, deliver a positive message and deter graffiti.
